These trails have been developed and refined over the last couple of years, these trails are the first stage of a dream to create a trail which circles the lake.  Being able to hop on a bike and pedal out of town along the shared trail is fantastic, once across the dam way a variety of trails provide options to cater to even the most hard core downhill rider.  Don't panic though the green trail is never far away.

o   Bungarra Alpine Centre a venue providing accommodation and activity options for school, family, social and sporting organisations (including cycling and MTB clubs and groups) – Approximately 20km of graded trails, skills area and pump track (suitable for all ages) – these trails are available to ride after hours, on weekends and during school holidays, please note that these trails are on Private Land and owners rights need to be respected to allow continued riding there.  PLEASE check the Trail Pass Information included on the link. o   Thredbo Resort – lift assisted downhill and cross country trails, pump track and bike hire/instruction. Further details and Trail Map

o   Thredbo Valley trail is a much heralded run down the Thredbo Valley, it can be ridden in both directions but the obvious ride is from Thredbo to Lake Crackenback.  As it is a shared trail do watch out for walkers who aren't used to sharing the trail with mountain bikers who travel quickly and silently down the trail.  Likewise it is popular with families so be on the look out for small kids on the trail.  Lake Crackenback Resort run shuttles and guided tours on the trail for those who want that level of support on their rides.  See the Trail Map for more details.

o   Lake Crackenback Resort – with over 25km of graded trails including a skills/pump track the resort offers a great range of riding in a relatively small area.  These trails are on private property so please follow guidelines for use which are outlined on the trail map.   The Thredbo Valley Trail finishes at Lake Crackenback Resort so why not meet your non riding buddies there for a drink in the bar or lunch at the restaurant after your ride. Trail Map
